Known for its legendary powder snow, family friendly atmosphere, and easy accessibility, Park City is a favorite winter destination for snow sports enthusiasts everywhere.  Come celebrate New Year’s Eve in Park City.

What's Happening New Years in Park City?

• December 30th – Deer Valley Resort.  Early revelers can head over to Deer Valley Resort’s annual Torchlight Parade on December 30, at dusk (5:30 pm). Skiers will dazzle with torches and “illuminating” moves. The parade takes place on Big Stick ski run on Bald Eagle Mountain. Prime viewing is from the deck area of Snow Park Lodge, where complimentary hot cider and cookies will be served from 5:45-6pm.
• Dec 31st – New Year’s Eve Celebration and Fireworks – The New Year’s Eve Celebration at Canyons Village will kick off at 3:00 pm with live music, followed by the grand fireworks display at 7:30p.   Here’s a few details on the days activities, including options for dinner and parties happening in #CanyonsVillage.
  • 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM
    DJ Velvet: : Live Music on the Canyons Village Stage
    Park City Mountain Resort’s resident DJ; spinning music in Salt Lake City and the local mountains since the early 2000’s, mixes funky feel-good beats that span many genres and appeal to a wide audience.
  • 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM
    Metro Music Club: Live Music on the Canyons Village Stage
Utah’s favorite party band, Metro Music Club, brings the celebration to Canyons Village to conclude 2018! Metro Music Club breathes life and energy into today’s current hits as well as yesterday’s favorites.
  • 7:30 PM

    New Year’s Eve Celebration Fireworks:  Canyons Village
    Fireworks will be shot from Willow Draw above the base of Orange Bubble Express.
    The Cabriolet lift will remain open until 8:30pm; Frostwood gondola will close at 5:30pm, its normal time.Canyons Village Connect ride service will be running from 7:00am – 8:00pm.

These days there are about a dozen bars, clubs, and old fashioned saloons in the historic district and each of them have a different vibe and lineup of entertainment. But that’s just on any old night of the week. When it comes to New Year’s Eve, the nightlife on Main Street is even better.

It wouldn’t be a New Year’s Eve post without mentioning that we want everyone to have a good night AND get home safely. Call a Lyft, Uber, cab, or get a friend to be a designated driver.
